RESCHEDULING FOR RAIN OUTS OR ATTENDANCE GENERAL INFORMATION

Please visit the rolandparkbaseball.com homepage for the latest information. In general, the following three tabs on the RPBL website will be helpful in navigating all reschedules: 

1. The “Coaches Corner” tab in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage. See the “Game Cancellation and Rescheduling” dropdown tab. 

2. The “Coaches Corner” tab in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage. See the “Game Change Request Form” dropdown tab. 

3. The “Season Calendar” link in Coaches Corner will provide availability of facilities.

GENERAL PROCEDURE

If you have to reschedule a game, please do the following: 

  1. Home Coach should assess the field conditions as early as possible in the day. This will help parents, coaches, and umpires plan accordingly. 
  2. Contact your opposing coach to get agreement and so that they can notify their players ASAP.
  3. Review the “Season Calendar” on the RPBL homepage, "Coaches Corner" section, to see what fields and dates might be available for a reschedule. Coordinate with your opposing coach. (PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME GAMES AND OTHER CONFLICTS, ESPECIALLY TRAVEL, WILL NOT BE LISTED IN THE CALENDAR. RESCHEDULES MUST BE APPROVED BY THE SCHEDULE TEAM. DO NOT ASSUME THE FIELD/TIME IS OPEN BASED ON THE CALEDAR ALONE).
  4. Submit reschedule date/location using the “Game Change Request Form” on the RPBL website. These dates should be pre-agreed between both coaches. 
  5. Wait to hear back from the RPBL Schedule Team if date/field was available. The Schedule Team will arrange your umpire for the new date. 


RAIN OUTS - POLICY NOTES

In general, it is up to coaches to decide whether to try to play a game. Home team coach makes call whether to play MORE THAN 1 HOUR before game. Seek consensus with other coach, if possible. We must cancel the Umpire 1 hour before the game, or they still get paid. If you start a game and then it gets rained out, don’t worry about it. Better to try to play than to unnecessarily reschedule. 

For National, American, and Teen 16/17 Leagues, you MUST CANCEL YOUR UMPIRE AS WELL. Send a text to Jesse More - 410-925-5256, and include Team Name, Date, Location, Time, Division/Age information.
